Granite Bay

Granite Bay is the most expensive suburb of Sacramento with an average price of $642,000 in 2014.  It features homes
on larger lots and is adjacent to Folsom Lake.  Buyers are drawn by terrific schools.

 

Roseville

Roseville is a community spread out on both sides of highway 80.  It is home to Hewlett Packard and the Galleria Shopping Mall.  Homes are on typical sized lots and the average price range for 2014 is $362,000.


Folsom

Folsom is home to Intel and Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison.  It has boating access to Folsom Lake and a lot of shopping at 
the Outlet Stores and newly completed Paladio.  Lots are of moderate size and the average price for 2014 is $414,000.


El Dorado Hills

El Dorado Hills is located up highway 50 from Folsom and is home to Serrano Country Club.  The rolling terrain features homes on a variety of lot sizes and the average price for 2014 is $584,000.


Rocklin

Rocklin is home to Sierra College.  It is a blend of the old and the new with older homes and newer subdivisions.  Sunset Whitney Country Club, Whitney Oaks Golf Course, and Oracle call Rocklin home.  The average price of a home in 2014 is $388,000.


Citrus Heights

Citrus Heights is home to Sunrise Mall and was incorporated into a city in 1997.  Infastructure is
getting updated and the homes are
still affordable with an average price of $223,000.

 


Orangevale

Orangevale is mostly a suburban of older homes on larger lots and acreage.  There is still quite a bit of open spaces and horse properties.  Small builders are slowly developing some smaller new home subdivision which are very popular.  The area is still affordabe with the average price in 2014 of $301,000.


Lincoln-Sun City

Lincoln was originally a largely rural community until Sun City was developed by Del Webb.  Now there is brand new shopping and the golf course. Many local and Bay Area retirees are heading to the area.  The average price in Sun City for 2014 is $428,000.
